Let’s get personal, 2018 goals and resolutions.

This year M.O.T.D turns 3, I can’t believe it! Now that the brand is expanding and I was able to hire on a team to help me I have time to pop in more often. Yay!

This post will be a blend of goals for the brand, how I stick to my personal resolutions, and a little bit of my personal life, which will be pretty busy in 2018.

Let’s talk about M.O.T.D Cosmetics

My brand started off with 8 brushes The Lux Vegan Makeup Brush Essentials, I then expanded the line with more eye brushes. Our product line so far has reached over 30+ stores nationally and about a handful of stores internationally.

This year, I’m planning on expanding our current range of rose gold makeup brushes by launching quite a few brushes for the face. The prototypes turned out amazing and I can’t wait for them to be in your hands! I’m also working on some fabulous brush color combinations that are stunning! I’m dying to give you all a sneak peek! Soon, I promise.

But, I’m not stopping there, this year you’ll also see products outside of the makeup brush realm. I named my brand M.O.T.D Cosmetics for a reason! It’s something in the works and I’m in the testing stages right now.

My goal for this year is to really focus on expanding my brand through product development and partnerships whether it be with stores, e-commerce, and influencers all those avenues will really take M.O.T.D to where it needs to be,

Now, let’s dive into how I stick to my personal resolutions.

I’m not the type to write them down every year just because it’s Jan 1st , I have 365 days for a fresh start so why wait? But, let’s say I need to work on balancing life and work for the sake of a topic to talk about. I take everyday as being different, because they are and I’m not going to be hard on myself or unrealistic. I’m a business woman, a fiancé, a mom of 2 pups who need attention, and everything in between. But! There shouldn’t be any excuses of taking a moment to myself or go out and stretch with the morning sunrise. My body deserves it and so does my mind.

So how do I stick to the things I need to work on? All I have to say is if it’s important enough to you, you will do it.

I spent most of 2017 being sick, my body was literally shutting down on me because I ignored it. I put work and everything else first and taking care of me wasn’t important. I made excuses of not having enough time and became addicted to growing my brand.

Last year taught me an extremely valuable lesson that I didn’t value my body until everything came crashing down. So it became extremely important for me to find my “resolution” and that was by healing through my kundalini yoga practice, meditating nightly, and eating right.

By the way I wrote the above without even realizing that there is a quote out there that says

“If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.”

Moving on to my life happenings this year will be a pretty amazing one and in just three words I can explain it, I’m getting married!

On July 2nd, 2017 my best friend Artin proposed to me on the beach in the Bahamas and our wedding date is set for September 8th, 2018.

We recently had our engagement session out in Mt. Charleston Las Vegas, NV with Heather from @taylormade_photolv and it was a blast. The photos from that day really show us off as who we are as a couple. But, I’ll be saving those for another post.

Are you excited to see what’s to come next with M.O.T.D? Leave me a comment in the comment box.

Happy new year & thanks for reading!
